Tasting wine: an introductory video

Here's a slightly different approach. You've been reading about tasting wine. Here's a short introductory video where I talk about how I approach wine tasting.

Hey Jamie, great video! It was so good that I am hoping you'll do more, but for more advanced levels. Maybe dedicating one video specifically to color, and all the myriad of things that color can tell us. Throw in a few oxidized wines, helping us to learn what faults we can pick out through color alone. Should a wine be filtered or have sediment? Granted, there is no one answer for many of these questions, but I feel like there are several videos on introductory tasting, but few, if any, on more advanced levels of tasting. I'd love to learn!

Excellent video. Thanks for all the details about the wine glasses and the colour of the wines. Very informative.

Just decided like a month ago that I was going to expand my taste for wine (hated it most of my life). So I'm grateful for you break down of wine reality. I have been to a wine australia shop twice. And yes, I was starring at the labels hoping for some clue. Even after a nice lady offered to help. I think i'll go back and take her up on that offer.
